Part of being a man is the inherent bridle at authority and dislike of being told what to do. One of the significant disappointments of our age is that men lack mentors in the art of style or the ability to curate a unique personal style and as a result, many tend to follow volatile trends which in turn misrepresents the very fabric of their personality.

Having said that, there is a renewed enthusiasm for guidance, particularly in the area of choosing well and my mantra is simple - "you don’t need more clothes, you only need better clothes."

It suffice to say that the landscape of style is forever shifting, however its permanent features are still very much underpinned by both "classic clothing" and the finer points of "living well".

Dressing well is a way of integrating and expressing your personality in a world where ubiquity seems to be the norm. It's an honest, meaningful way of distinguishing one’s self from the pack as - Informed, fearless, unapologetic and individual.

It's hard to be successful if you’re one of many. You can get along, for sure, most people get along. But dressing well and having a personal style is about standing out. it is about making a subtle statement which depicts your individualism.

The secret to dressing better isn’t about having deep pockets, you only have to want to. If you don’t want to, it is not just going to be a part of your life and that’s not a terrible thing. Style is a gentle act of will.
