Even though Paris is only a short hop across the English channel, I haven’t been back there for some years for no particular reasons but returning this winter sparked up a wave of nostalgia and a reminder of how much I’ve missed this beautiful city. Even more prominent in my mind was the question to self as to why its taken so long for me to return to somewhere i made and hold such wonderful memories.

Although I’d seen most of the city’s landmarks on my previous visits, I was determined to do things differently this time, I had a daily itinerary with scheduled visits to places I’d been on previous visits but also a mix of some hidden gems I’d read about and others recommended by friends.

In as much as Paris is a cosmopolitan city, its rich history that can be easy seen in every nook and cranny, from its plethora of impeccably preserved architecture to jaw dropping iconic landmarks and back streets that ooze character in every square inch.

Travel they say keeps a man “honest" and “humble”…both attributes are something I experience every time I leave the comforts of my home to a foreign land.
